The Natchez Trace Parkway Association commemorated the bicentennial of the return of soldiers from the Battle of New Orleans on the Natchez Trace by re-enacting the victory ball held for General Andrew Jackson and his soldiers in Natchez and Washington, Mississippi.   Historic sites include Washington Tavern, King’s Tavern, the Natchez Bluff, Historic Jefferson College.
