3:00 – 5:00 Registration Table Open at Microtel   (Advance Registration in by Aug. 30)

4:00 p.m.  Trolley Tour of Historic Sites with local guide. Learn the history of the Muscle Shoals region and the cities of Tuscumbia, Florence, Sheffield and Muscle Shoals and view historic sites around the Shoals from the Trolley. (Limited to first 30) Departs from Microtel and/or other hotels

7:00 p.m.  Welcome Reception with Heavy Hors d’oeuvres in a private antebellum home.

9:30 – Noon Registration Table Open at the Mayfair

7:30 a.m. Breakfast for Chapter Chairs and Officers

7:30 – 10:30 Bicycle Ride on the Natchez Trace – Sponsored by Shoals Cycling Club

7:30-  8:30 Tentative Nature Walk at Colbert Ferry

9:00 a.m. Walk of Life from Tuscumbia Landing to Spring Park and the Oka Kapassa Festival

10:00- 11:30 Board Meeting at the Mayfair. Activities at Oka Kapassa Festival-  Historic 1700-1800 Warrior  Camp, Indian Dances, Basket Making. Authors at Coldwater Books, Art Exhibit at Tennessee Valley Art Museum

Noon Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon at the Mayfair, Speaker – Dale Wilkerson, Acting Superintendent, Election of Officers and Directors

1:30 p.m. Afternoon Tracks: Recreation:  Cycling Safety on the Parkway – On site at the Mayfair
History:  New Discoveries about the American Indians along the Natchez Trace – Courtroom at Tuscumbia City Hall / Old Post Office Building. (Across the street from The Mayfair)

Oka Kapassa Events Continue

5:00 – 7:00  Sunset Picnic on the Trace, Riverside at Colbert Ferry Site Park. (Caravan from Microtel) Hosted by Alabama Chapter, NTPA, and Colbert County Tourism & Convention Bureau

7:30 or 8:00     Oka Kapassa – Return to Cold Water Festival, Closing Ceremonies:  Dance, Fire, Water and Flute at Spring Park
